The value of words is nothing more den what you make of it.It is nothing more nor nothing less. An extensive vocabulary or an impressive control of grammer accounts zilch for it's value. We as society has dictated and commanded that we cede ourselves to the power of words. we place in it the ability to harm or comfort us ; where we can find solace or as a weapon for vile intents. From the moment of our conception we are slaves to it, parents commanding or edifying their babies to the wonders of this world. It would however be later where the child will have to endure lashes by their parent's tongue. Where they will have to learn to endure the burn of harsh words used to right them back on the straight and narrow. Nor will it be long before they pick up choice swear words to inflict unto their peers. Wielding the amazing power to afflict hurt beyond the flesh where scars are beneath the surface. Seen only by the keenest hearts and not the eyes. A scar that will never fully heal destined to leave a keloid.
It will not be long either before we start to appreciate words meant to represent love. OMNIPOTENT words such as "i love you". Deceitful words meant to palgarise our heart. Sensual words to arouse us out of the safety of our nest and to blind us with lust.Words that will pervade our better senses like a virus engulfing our intellect and trading our common sense for the mirage of love. The pipe piper wins barterings honey for hearts ,trading lies for tears. Words that allow us to build an image of wellbeing a facade of affluence.
The ultimate arbitrator of words is definitively intent. The unfathomable abyss of the human conciousness allows us to convulate the truth. We are allowed to abuse reality both altering and stretching creating abominations of half truths and all lies.NAY! intent is as viscous as words. The intangible can only be judged by the tangible. Action. Action that cannot morph nor lie. Action translated from words held as a votive to intent , carved into stone , allowing no slithering nor equivocation. Holding the speaker hostage and liable.
